Dry eye is a big part of our clinical experience for many patients. From burning and watery eyes, to fluctuating vision and frustrating scratchy eyes, dry eye issues can affect individuals differently. Many of the patients we see have dry eyes due to environmental factors, but some are due to other medical conditions or medications. Depending on the cause there are multiple treatments available. Infrared LLLT/IPL treatment is a red light treatment we utilize for many dry eye patients that helps to restore natural function of our tear production. It is very effective in allowing our eyes to heal from damage leading to dry issues and can be a very beneficial treatment for dry eye management.
